Media is critical leverage on the internet. It's essential to be an excellent communicator of our ideas so that we can share our thoughts with people more effectively.
Being a great communicator is always a great tool to have on your side while growing your career or business.Â
Â
Do you face these problems?
1. You communicate in various ways, but it doesn't land well with your audience. It's like your idea is not to find the right market to buy it.
2. You have the right thoughts and ideas in your mind, but it doesn't come out effectively to the audience.
3. What you think makes sense doesn't make sense to the audience at all after you communicate it to them.Â
4. Your story is not attracting the right people you are looking
When do you often face this problem?
The above issues occur when you write Proposals, Blogs, Emails, Decks, Speeches, Pitches, Videos, etc. do not find their audience rightly. We often struggle with Media-Market Fit.

Introduction to Each Layer
Algorithm Layer: Set of ground rules that defines how the thoughts & ideas will flow to achieve a specific outcome.Â
A developer writes code that tries to achieve a specific outcome. But very often, we create media assets without understanding the result in the first place.
We do this with the help of a Story Algorithm Board. The
HQ version of the picture is available in the book with examples. Also donwloadable as a Excel file.
Narrative Layer: This is the phase to build clarity on the structure. It's like drawing the flowchart of the algorithm. The narrative is the core of your communication. Basing on the rules of the algorithm, you build a THREAD of highly complex ideas, thoughts put into one-liners, and in a particular order. Â
A strong narrative forms a uniform shape in the minds of the audience. (More about this theory in the playbook link below)

Questions Layer:
Critique layer to check biases & build clarity on your narrative. List down about 25 -30 hard questions on the narrative. Asking questions remove confirmation bias and gives you answers objectively from the market point of view. It helps to improve ambiguity in your communication.
This layer helps you understand
a) What questions should you ask about the narrative?
b) How to remove biases about the content & the audience?
c) How to eliminate loose ends in the narrative?Packaging Layer: This is the most critical layer. Package & structure your thoughts into a visual storytelling languageÂ
The most used framework in journalism is Show and Don't tell. This layer helps you with
a) Information Architecture: Representing your narrative into a visual format through your words, visuals, etc. How can you evoke visuals, emotions, analogies, etc. with your words?
b) Storytelling Tools: Repository of 20+ tools to visually explain your story better.
And more. For ex: portraits, charts, maps, graphs, flowcharts, timelines, etc.
For ex: Steve Jobs used this graph in the I-Phone launch to clearly explain the value of I-PhoneThe 4 Layer Stack is a visual way to communicate the framework to you. It forms a clear image in the mind of the audience to understand. How can the audience visualize the value of the idea you are trying to explain.
I am releasing a playbook on this topic, where I dive into detail about each layer and show some examples as well.
